The purpose of this blog is to present puck location/zone time for NHL games. Puck location refers to the amount of time the puck spends in each of the three zones during one game, which I measure using the game clock shown on television. Therefore the numbers I post will be approximate. Additionally, I match up the puck location information with players' shift charts from
nhl.com to determine the proportion of a player's ice where the puck is in a specific zone.
